As the owner of Cat & Mouse Landscapes, in my early days I always enjoyed mucking in with Mum and Dad in the garden and veg patch and used to get a thick ear from coming home covered in mud. Now I get paid for it! Brilliant.
I had a background in illustration, graphic design and print management, but as often said 'one man's food is another's poison', I felt restricted in this office environment and needed to express myself elsewhere and, for me, what better than outdoors.
I started out in the summer of '97, offering a simple garden service to all, clearing, tidying and completing small garden projects. This proved popular and successful. It was a great start and I loved working in and with the outdoor environment.
Finding my feet and establishing a direction that was both enjoyable for me and sought-after by prospective clients, I gradually developed an extensive range of services, implementing various assignments ranging in size and style and utilising to good affect my creative background in many.
The future is simple: offer all; compromise nil; enjoy.
